About the Job
The Director of Food and Beverage is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the success of all food and beverage operations within the hotel. This includes managing banquets, catering, restaurants, bars, in-room dining, club lounges, and minibars. The role requires effective communication and collaboration with various departments to achieve seamless operations and meet budgeted financial goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Oversight: Supervise and lead all food and beverage operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
  • Staff Management: Support, develop, and manage both management and hourly staff. Recruit, train, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operating strategies that align with the hotel's business objectives.
  • Financial Management: Manage menus, inventory, and expenses to ensure profitability. Contribute to budgeting processes and P&L reviews.
  • Coordination: Work closely with sales and events teams to fulfill group requirements and ensure smooth operations.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies and participation in marketing meetings.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Collaborate with leadership to enhance guest satisfaction scores and address areas for improvement.
  • Customer Service: Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Staff Development: Handle disciplinary actions as necessary and foster a positive work environment.

Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within a luxury hospitality setting.
  • Certification: Beverage certification is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong supervisory, coaching, and staff development experience.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Must be able to stand, walk, write, lift, bend, climb, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Legal Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
