Summary
The Workforce and Clinical Services Director oversees nursing, workforce, regulatory compliance, quality management, and patient safety. This role supports public understanding and advocacy for healthcare, leads collaboration on policy initiatives, and drives quality and safety improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Advocacy: Promote public understanding of healthcare, provide member education, and advocate on healthcare issues.
- Policy & Collaboration: Collaborate with hospitals, physicians, and care organizations to influence policy. Identify funding sources and support legislative and regulatory processes.
- Quality & Safety: Engage members in quality and safety initiatives, support evidence-based practices, and facilitate nursing education and clinical placements.
- Workforce Development: Support initiatives to increase the number of nurses and nurse educators.
- Reporting & Support: Review and summarize relevant legislation, assist staff with goals, and submit work plans and reports.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in nursing or hospital administration.
- Skills: Expertise in hospital compliance, quality management, and improvement.
